Acne!

it really sucks. i never had acne problems till i started taking this medication.. the acne got so bad that i discontinued it. i have for about a month and my acne is MUCH improved. almost gone, alhamdulillah, but i want to speed up the process.

what are your recommendations for those who have dealt with acne... home remedies (like drink green tea), acne creams, etc.

Oh yea and by the way i have no more acne.......I never had any actually once i reached 14.

All you have to do is not eat or drink too much sugars and wash your face with that acne killin stuff ALOT.

when i mean alot i mean like 3 times a day or something.

SALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!

btw: simpsons movie sucked.

A couple years ago in 9th grade, I tried this medicine called "differin", and that stuff was terrible. I broke out like never before. Every square inch of my face had at least three zits. I would be walking at school, and some random kid would look at me and say "ew, that's disgusting". I still have scars from this outbreak. As a friend in art class said, it looked like someone took a knife to the side of my face. I still have these dark spots from it.

There's a drug called "Accutane", which I used. It's basically a cure for acne, but there's three problems:
1) It's extremely dangerous. It gives all kinds of health problems and messes up your insides. It also makes you suicidal. The kid who crashed a plane into downtown Tampa was on the drug. I actually attempted when I was on it. When you take the drug, you have to have blood tests at least once a month to see if your body is able to handle it.
2) It's extremely expensive. I think a year's supply is more than $1000
3) It's basically illegal now because it's so dangerous.

Accutane cleared up my outbreak, but every now and then, I get a couple zits, so I use "clearasil" acne cream on my face, which works great.

The best thing to do is see a dermatologist and they will assess and recommend the best treatment for you.

Sometimes a mild course of antibiotic tablets like Erythromycin helps a lot.

I get the odd zits and usually worse when its time of the month and when Im really stressed out but thats down to hormones.

Water helps flush out the toxins from the body and a good diet also reflects on the skin.

Acne can be so soul destroying. In fact I would really be interested to know what the Prophet SAW recommended to do for acne. He AS has provided us with knowledge and cures for most ailments but I have never come across anything for acne

It really depends.....a comment above advised you to wash your face alot with medicated cleansers but for me personally my face went crazy when i did that......If your acne is decreasing I say be patient, I cant even tell you how many times I shopped for crap that did my skin NO justice---If you have scars or something left over just look for laser treatments or possibly a facial...

I tried so much stuff to get my skin to quit it. in the end, I threw out all the medicated stuff and started using cetaphil. you can't get much more gentle than that. and my skin has calmed down.

hey i had acne for 5 years and i still have them and it sucks
on this teenage site it said to get rid of spots use pregnancy pills but i neva tried that
u should try sudocrem that works and to ease the pain everynight dip your face in hot water then immediately after in cold water.

just drink lots of water and go to the doctor. dont use the over the counter stuff it only made my face worse now im just using the cream the doc gave me and drinking lots of lemon water and takin hri clear complexion pills. i dont have spots just scars.

whats hri ?

scars are not too bad to deal with as there are loadsa treatments out there to treat this.

what about oily skin..i mean shiney excessively oily skin? any remedies?

oh there just herbal pills. they seem to be helping my skin stay clear and help my scars.

I know it may sound silly but acne doesn;t do wonders for your confidence and guys don;t exactly find a woman with spots attractive.

I have a friend who has given up on marriage because she feels no one may ever want her because of her acne....so i thought id ask and see what others thoughts on this was.

she shouldnt give up on acne or marriage. she should go to the doctor for her acne and who wants to be with a guy who dosnt like you for you. ok so she may have a couple of spots and im sure they will disspear in a couple of years. im sure shes beautiful anyway.

and maybe marriage will be the thing that cures her spots :P

shes tried everything and thats why she is so frustrated.

If marriage was the cure to spots im sure everyone will be getting married left right and centre lol
