Autologous fat transfer. Fat is taken from another site on your own body and prepared for injection into your skin. The fat is injected beneath the surface of the skin to elevate depressed scars. This method of autologous (from your own body) fat transfer is usually used to correct deep contour defects caused by scarring from nodulocystic acne. Because the fat is reabsorbed into the skin over a period of 6 to 18 months, the procedure usually must be repeated. Longer lasting results may be achieved with multiple fat-transfer procedures.

Hmm, autologous fat transfer is still a long way from being perfected. The problem is that the fat dies when it's moved (which is why it's reabsorbed ), and when fat dies, it can sometimes become calcified. Hard lumps don't look any more attractive than craters.
Restylane is a better option right now, because although it also gets broken down and reabsorbed over time, it won't calcify. Treatments have to be repeated about every six months, but it's what I would use if I were you. Just make sure that whoever you go to have plenty of experience using it.
This message brought to you by the makers of Restylane. Kidding! It's seriously the one I would use for myself.

You could always mark a black spot on the hard lump and turn it into an artificial mole

Re: Acne!
Has anyone ever noticed any skin problems in correlation to the amount of caffeine they consume?

Re: Acne!
There's also a species of bacteria known as ' propionibacterium' that can cause acne. You can visit the dermatologist to see if this is the case, and he/she can precribe you topical antibiotics for it.

Re: Acne!
i dont know if anyone has posted abotu this medication or not because i havent read everything in this thread yet except for this last page, but when i had acne issues, my doctor prescribed me doxycycline...it worked wonders alhumdulialh alhumdulilah. the key to it is, FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS. its a pain in the neck but its worth it. theres precautions u have to follow like "no lying down for 30 minutes after taking the med" or "exposure to sunlight may burn ur skin after taking med" ( which happaned with my freind who had to stop the medication cause of that) but for the latter i just went aroudn the rule by taking the pill at night instead of during the daylight hours, so id take it an hour before going to bed with a full glass of water and that way, id be avoiding the sunlight rule totally.
its a 2 month course and at first when u take it, ur face goes wildly crazy by breaking out, but the key is to be patient and not panic when ur face does this...its basically a pill used to treat bacterial infections and im thinking it just surfaces all the gunk inside of u? lol. dont know. anyhow, after the first month though, u start to see ur face clear up rapidly and by the end of the course, inshallah ud get an acne-free face...the only thing is to have patience throughout the whoel course because it is very annoying to take and its VERY sensitive on teh stomach and the breakout factor the first few weeks is just horrible. but all in all, i recommend this to anyone and everyone that ever asks me what to do about acne...

Re: Acne!
I stopped taking my antibiotics.
'Cause it made me feel like crap.
I'm thinking just over-the-counter topical stuff works best for me.
But if not, I'm gonna try to get my doc to put me on the pill.
