I'm a Huge GM fan. Besides, I love the style of the HHR. Not to mention I have a fetish for taillights and the HHR has some of the coolest taillights around.

The tail lights look a lot like a Ferrari's, only vertically. The smart car also has a resemblance of it.

I'm curious about how it drives.

I dunno why you want an HHR though.. I'd think the perfect car for you would be something like a 99-01 5 speed Honda Prelude, or maybe a late 90s Camaro 'vert or something along those lines. Something sporty that takes advantage of Florida weather.

I would buy an SUV, but SUVs are too large and the gas mileage on them is horrible. So, I'm looking at hatchbacks/crossovers/wagons. I want something that has the practicality and looks of an SUV, but the size and gas mileage of a car.

From the dozens of cars in it's class, the HHR is my favorite. Not to mention my grandfather worked for GM so I get employee discount on a GM vehicle.

You're a young'un. IMO since you seem to really like sporty cars and performance vehicles, you should get the most impractical and sporty car you can afford while you still have the luxury of doing so and while you can really enjoy it. You're never gonna be 19 again. But hey, if you like the HHR, that's cool .. to each their own. The SS version looks like it'd be fun.

That's a gas-guzzling SUV. The HHR gets more than 30 mpg.
