I wouldn't get a Land Rover. They're owned by an Indian company now. I bet when they make em they could might as well forget to put the brake in it or something important like that. hah. I seriously wouldn't trust Indians with my car...Japanese on the other hand...

Yeah, Tata bought Land Rover & Jaguar from Ford. They really just wanted Jaguar (iirc) but Ford wanted to sell them as a pair & wouldn't let go of one without the other. Tata's going to try to turn them into huge prestige brands in India.. their plan is for wealthy uncles/aunties to start driving Jags instead of Benzs. This will probably give a boost to Land Rover sales across the Indian Ocean in Africa as well (already popular vehicles amongst the Indian/Pakistanis there).
Speaking of Jags, before they start being made by Indians..
