That engine is available. The base engine is the 335is twin-turbo engine. You're probably looking at 80-85k for the model with the twin-turbo V8 (though I'm sure it'll be a sweet, sweet engine).

Actually, base engine is $50,000 and the top engine is $65,000.

You're either confusing pounds and dollars or you're looking at a very bare-bones model. Even then, I can't imagine BMW is going to sell the X6 with a 3.0lTT for 50k.. the 3.0Si version of an X5 runs about 55-60k (with options). The 3.0TT 335 with xDrive and options is itself about 50k. I'd be very surprised to see a 3.0tt version of the X6 on a showroom floor for under 65k. But I could be wrong..

The Nissan Murano looks like a shoe.
I hate the crossover segment.

Hush.
Crossovers are the car of the future. (literally). They account for about half of all car sales.
If you want boring crossover, try a Toyota Highlander.
*edit* This is my 1000th Post!!!!!! Celebrate!

Hah.. to each their own. The higher end of those cars might feel good cornering and handling by the way, but theyll never have the same suspension or drag co-efficient as a good sports coupe/sedan (of course, that's not important to everyone).

True. But here's why people buy these sporty crossovers:
Let's say you love sports cars and going fast and all that jazz. However, you now have a wife and kids, and that Corvette or Boxter is largely impractical now. What do you do? You buy a crossover like the BMW or Infiniti. You get the sleek looks and performance of a sports car, but can now carry more people and cargo. And if you want to go on the rugged trail to the weekend cabin or you live in the snowy mountains, the allwheel drive and raised ground clearance will help with that. It's basically the best of all worlds.

Hah, no on both counts (see bolded).
The best compromise between a sports car and a daily driver is a BMW 335i. Available with AWD.
There are real SUVs that outperform most crossovers also, like the Acura MDX.
The x6 is most likely going to be seeing the majority of its duty in corporate parking lots and on Rodeo Drive..
