You're scary.
I'm not going to sit there all quiet while people shift around to stare at me as if I'm some circus show reject because I wear the Hijab. I normally have people stare at me, and I would stare directly back at them. If I feel that they become overly rude, then I'll become overly rude right back at them. I'd flip them off, mouth a few choice words, or in the instance above, go all out. I don't care.

Yeah, but if they're staring at you because you wear a hijab, then cursing them out or flipping them off isn't exactly doing anything to make Muslims look good, you know?
I mean, you could smile and wave or something.
Yeah, it's rude to stare but people just do it 'cause they're curious. Aren't you used to it by now?

I'm not going to reward their stupidity by offering a smile or wave. That's not me. I'm not going to act as if their rude childish staring is at all oki because it's not.

Curious stares should only be received from children. Being curious is not a valid excuse for an adult staring.

Sorry, the lack of punctuation is throwing me off.
What does that mean?

Re: Road Rage
Ahhh... I saw my driving instructor after a couple years now and had another lesson with him, 'cause I have to go for my G soon.
The graded licensing system in Ontario sucks, 'cause now I have to unlearn all the bad habits I've picked up while driving on my own for the past two or three years. My mom kept warning me too. She's always like "Don't speed! Keep both hands on the wheel! You can do all these bad things once you're fully licensed."
But I didn't listen and now my driving instructor is like "Well, you can drive, but you're driving too aggressively." God, it feels weird to put both hands on the wheel. And signal.
Good news though: he said they don't tend to make women reverse park at the testing centre I'm gonna do my road test at. I was like "They made me last time." And he's like "Yeah, and you weren't able to do it but you still got your license, right?"
Wish me luck, everybody.
My test's not till like February though and my instructor said I'm ready to take it and that I'll pass, InshaAllah, and that I don't need to waste my time/money with him. But I dunno... nobody really passes the first time, and I do need the practice.
I'll still have time after February though... gotta keep practicing the parking. I had totally forgotten parallel parking too, since I never used it. Mot even once after my G2. One time I was going to parallel park and I couldn't, but my dad was with me and he was like "K, get out. I'll do it."

Well, it took me one failed one already to get my G2.
We have a graded licensing system in Ontario.
G1- First level; you've done the written test to show you understand the rules of the road and can start taking lessons with either an instructor or somebody who has a G and has been driving for a certain amount of time
G2- At least eight months after your G1; you've taken the lessons and passed a road test. Now you can drive on your own.
G- Sometime within five years of the G1; you've been driving on your own for a while and have to pass another road test... drive on the highway for this one

whats the point of taking another road test if you can already drive by yourself? sounds overly complicated. here we just have to take the written test and the road test

Lets you build up confidence, I guess.
And also makes more money for the Ministry of Transportation? Since you gotta pay each time you need to take a test.
There are passenger and blood alcohol level restrictions in the G2 class. And they don't test you on the highway when you give your G2. Though technically, you can drive on the highway with just a G2.

Re: Road Rage
Okay, so I was driving yesterday on this major road. It has two lanes going east and two going west. Anyway, this dumbo girl, who could barely see over the steering wheel (I kid you not), was talking on her cell phone and decided to randomly brake with no cars in front of her. Pagal potti kahin ki. I had to slam on my brakes and everything sitting in the passengers' side flew off the seat. I wasn't tailgating her or anything. I was about three car lengths distance behind her, but I was driving pretty fast.
Ohhhh! And I can't stand when someone's in like the extreme left lane and they need to take the exit that's on the extreme right. That crap pisses me off!

Re: Road Rage
Hahah..good thread..
I hate it when idiots drive slow in the left lane..hellllooooo...move to the right lane slow poke.
Also people who brake 10 miles ahead when approaching a traffic light..need to get off the road!!
i have to think of more things that piss me off. will be back soon.
