i dont think you know those scholars, since my mother tongue is not english; i cant translate their fatwas to you all.
but i will try a bit;
"Kuran doesnt ban drawing creatures that have soul, also Kuran mentions that Soleiman pbuh had icons and pictures (tamasel) in His palace too. "
"Hanging and praying to them is not right, we get them from several hadiths ofcourse."
"Art is a talent which comes from Allah.If the artist is amazed by Allah's creation and wants to point it by photographing or drawing; that mustnt be stopped."

and the most important one;
"We should critisize the hadiths due to prophet Muhammad's time, He had to prohibite any way of portraying and idolising; for the new muslims because they were old idol-worshippers.. He(pbuh) had to close all the ways back. Prophet Muhammad cursed the poets of that time too. Coz the poets were cursing God and prophet. So poetry must be haraam too -indeed some scholars say that too-"

You see,it is all about our intensions.

That is one freaky skull. ^^;

Got anything new done? :3

Yeah, not all cartoons are exaggerated. And some move very convincinly, especially cartoons that are xeroxed.

Nah, nothing new. The last thing I did were those fliers for MSA. Nothing after that.

I sketched this in 10th grade during Art 2. This is a sheet of cloth draped over an easel of some sort

Asalaamualaikum,

I think this was wither a pastel drawing or chalk. I am leaning towards pastel. I did this in 9th grade. There are some stains on the side . Please excuse the crookedness and the fact that the tree seems to be coming out of the water .

Thanks, I don't do comic strips. I actually do 3d Animation and Modeling. But this last quarter we had to take a fundamental arts class where we explore different mediums, and I just fell in love with the BRUSH and INK. I'm still learning how to control the brush, but i plan on doing some Landscape type Ink work, should be interesting...
