If this was done by the UK you'd get a very different list...We had better music during the 90's

alot of those songs are just plain stupid, the spice girls? vanilla ice? lemme tell you about when i first heard vanilla ice. i was watching the video premier on the old channel called "the box", video jukebox where you can call in and select a video to watch and it gets charge to your phone bill. so the first time i saw his video was back in 92' i think, and i thought this guy and this song sucks, he is never gonna get anywhere. i cant believe it still get's played today and i just end dying laughing whenever i heard 'ice ice baby' LOL. my ex loved that song, were only a year apart, so we used reminice about old songs from back when we were in our teens. sometimes i had wished i known her back then

uh not really, look at the spice girl what the hell was that? LOL and if your talking about dance music, nothing beats chicago-style hip house music of the early 90's, like fast eddie and mr. lee.
and yankee's only really mean northern american's, no southerner would call himself a yankee. its a term from the civil war, during which honest abe lincoln was president, and that's what i mean by i hail from the land of lincoln, since IL is his home state and the man is all but glorified here. so ya i maybe biased when i say this, since its my home state, but i really and truley do believe he was the greatest american president of all time, especially since southern rebels hate the man with a deep passion LOL.
YouTube - Fast Eddie with Sundance - Git On Up (1989)
YouTube - Tyree - Let The Music Take Control (1990) LOL i used to love those suit's back in the day.
YouTube - Classic House - Mike'Hitman' Wilson...Work Your Body
and of course the ultimate dance song from the 90's, circa 1992 (my junior year of high school)........................................... ......
YouTube - C+C Music Factory,Freedom Williams-Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)

did you see when they showed color me badd today? LOL ooh man that had me laughing my head off. the lead singer is now running his own tire shop and he gained a huge amount of weight, i mean he went from gay looking pretty boy to the pillsberry doughboy hahaha. i remember their song below came out in 91' for the movie 'new jack city' and some white boys in my h.s. tried to copy his look hahaha. plus if you notice he looks alot like jon b. who was not in the vh1's list and he made some pretty good r&b songs, and he still does.
YouTube - Color Me Badd-I Wanna Sex You Up
YouTube - Jon B. Featuring Babyface-Someone To Love - i would say this is a very nice wedding song
and i would add this and summertime to the list too
YouTube - Lighter Shade Of Brown - On A Sunday Afternoon
YouTube - Will Smith - DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince - Summertime -

Re: 100 Greatest Songs of the '90s
I've been listening to 90's music everyday since I watched that. LOL Mariah should've been higher, IMO. I knew Backstreet would be on, but Im surprised they made #3. That's awesome. But, how did "Candy Rain" not make the list? That's one of the best songs of all time.

Re: 100 Greatest Songs of the '90s
this list should be called 'top 100 songs listened to by white people in suburban north america in the 1990s'
even then, no 'november rain' (gnr) and no love for sublime is a crime
