Ummm isn't a typical great love song considered to be one of those songs where a diarrheaic guy says love multiple times till he starts looking quite ill and then swoons a bit and starts foaming in the mouth and then finally ends the song in a seizure?

I LOVED that song as a kid. But when I was younger, I use to sing it as "I'll be your crying soldier" and always wondered what he meant by that until my brother told me I was singing it incorrectly.
