Re: My thoughts of the day...
chirping birds. they're cute if you're taking a walk through the park during a perfect Spring afternoon. but not quite if you're engaged in dark isolation for hours upon hours during nighttime (willingly and comfortably so might i add) and are suddenly reminded that dawn is around the corner. dawn which is comprised of busyness. and motion. and when things happen and people move about and decisions are made. kinda like the active site of an enzyme when a substrate ends up linking to it and reactions occur. daytime..it's chaotic and ever so quick to acknowledge life as it proceeds..one event at a time but still millions of interlinking events. you must act with caution but speed in the active site. there's no slow motion. there is just think and make happen. because you can. and the burden of responsibility is a constant presence to remind you ..or guilt you...whichever..that if your choice is not to take advantage of the active procession of things, you must wait an entire lifetime, an entire night, an entire passive and dreadfully so-comfortable-you-might-never-want-to-leave existance to wake up in the happenin' zone once again. and even then there's a ridiculously high chance you might miss the calling of your alarm - the annoyingly cute birds. oh, those stupid birds.
