Default Re: The Art of Cooking

assalamu alaykum

did i mention i made biryani? I can't see that i did. I followed laimun's method but not the ingrediants or spices as i cheated with a boxed one It was nice, but too spicy and i made enough to feed 10 (no exageration) not 2. The rice was perfect and the chicken was cooked (very surprised as i just sceptically put it in raw and marinated as laimuun ordered.)

Today for lunch I made noodles and marinated chicken breast on a bed of salad. For dinner I made southern fried chicken (and marinated other chicken and made plain chicken, just for choice purposes) with buttery cous cous also made some random tomaotey sauce with peppers, in case it was all dry, but it wasn't alhamdulilah.

sumiya- i need an apron. And when the husband asked if he could come into the kitchen (as I can't juggle 3 pans AND conversation and not turn into an angry girl) i said yes. Then I asked him to stir something...then after 5 minutes he asked ''can i go now?'' So yeah, next time, if i want company i won't ask him to do anything, though I'm not sure he'll be braving the kitchen again anytime soon.
