Default Re: Women and the choices we have to make for higher education

Asallamu 'alaikum wa rahmatulLahi wa barakatuh

>>>why is it always about women? why not both genders? Should small boys be ignored at the expense of girls for simply being born into the wrong gender? I already posted a news item on this, on how girls are outscoring boys in public schools, because too much attention is paid to thier needs, classes geared towards girls, and not boys. as a result, boys in america have a disproportinent rate of dropping out.

You realize, of course, that men are always paid more than women simply because they are men? So does it matter if a boy has Bs, while a girl is getting As, if in the end, the girl will still be getting less with her A and the boy getting more with his B? That is not equality either way you slice it. What feminists want is for both to be equal, not to have one elevated (unless they're the nutty ones who don't really get feminism).

Unless you were joking/parodying the 'omg what about the MEEEEENS?' whiners with that. In which case I feel rather silly posting this, but oh well. ^^;

I have no idea what I'm going to be doing with my life, so far. Starting highschool in about ten or so days, insha Allah.

Wa 'alaikum asallam
