I agree with you in a way, however we have to recognise the Historical and fundamental differences and overcome them to unite as one Ummah.
ON a one to one basis, I ahev met and conversed with many awesome Shias (Khairan comes to mind..mashAllah). BUt the doctrinal differneces have to be understood to engage in a general sense. We should understand ourselves and others.
