Awesome. They're good when translated, but not the same as in Urdu. My dad reads Iqbal to me sometimes; it's powerful stuff.

(You have to hear my dad do God when he reads Jawaab-e-Shikwa, haha.)
We used to have a whole thread on Iqbal back in the day... back when Dream34 wasn't so busy with med school.

 I read one of her books too. I think it was Chapatti or Chips. Can't remember now though, but the protagonist falls in love with her playboy of a friend (who's White) and he interrupts her wedding or something Indian-

I'm reading Anita Diamant's "The Red Tent". I know... several years too late, but I got it off a friend just today. Especially relevant 'cause I'm reading the Pentateuch for my Five Books of Moses class. We're still on Genesis.
