Yeh you should make him do it! But only if you know you can do it pain free... dancing lessons are a really good way of ending marriages if not done carefully.

BTW, some of the older salsa songs you posted are bringing back memories... I didn't know the names of the artists. I also didn't know that the awesome style of music I've been listening to on the Spanish radio stations was called Bachata.
Older ones? Like which ones?? I don't know how old the songs are I just know what I like.

One problem is, the kids down there that start up bands already have a sort of canonical template to work with... whether merengue, salsa or whatever... and they don't put a lot of thought into the actual song writing. So there's a lot of new music with hardly any variation.

Then fortunately a few bands come along and show us that it is still possible to be creative with the music, and bring us songs that remind us why we dance in the first place!

yeh, I like bachata music too

Anyway - here's a video of a rueda (it's like... 'wheel dance'). This one is at some comp, I'm gonna be doing something like this at my university this week for 'International Week' hahah I guess representing Cuba??

YouTube - Grupo America of Canada at Rueda Salsa Congress Nov 2007 (dancing starts at 50 seconds)
