I see how that works. However if we couldn't do them justice and that was the case the the Prophet wouldn't have allowed any of his companions to it or any of the people of Makkah and Medina.. ..right?
Also the point your friend made about marriage is right and wrong. Marriage (nikkah) is a contract but its also sacred. Its a contract in accordance to sacred law (shari'a) but also the notion of two people coming together is sacred too.
I would never take a second wife...
