i wish it was the 'wanderer' by u2, though i don't know why. it's a pretty bleak song. but it's actually 'longview' by green day. or maybe both. it's not 'creep' by radiohead. it's probably something more comical, like a weird al yankovic polka medley. 'always look on the bright side of life' by monty python, which is supposedly very happy and comical, but is actually very bleak. that might fit. something by ray charles, but again that's pretty mopey. ("i can't stop loving you" comes to mind. nice orchestral parts in that.)
