well every state is different. in some states, like mine, you dont have to actually be registered for any party to vote in thier primaries. and repugs take advantage of that by voting in democratic primaries for candidates they know the repugs can beat in november. so walking into an open primary and voting for mccain isnt a bad idea, because he cant win in november.
