And it seems like it'd be way easier to find/make an informal white wedding dress, than a simple ethnic wedding dress (I'm thinking of SouthAsian wedding dresses which are really elaborate).

I just did a quick Google search and found lots of beautiful and simple, yet elegant and indubitably bridal, gowns.
