My cousin's son lives with his grandparents, even though the courts said his house is equipped for him. They said they didn't want to remove him fromthe only home he knows, but in reality, his grandparents have only hurt him. THey did not put him in school, so he started at age 5, after my cousin had to pay for preschool. (the town offers free preschool) They did not help him study, everything we buy for him, the family dog destroys.
For me, the final straw came on his 6th bday. It was a thursday, the day he goes home from my cousin's house. My aunt gave him 5 bucks, but his other grandmother told him he isn't 6 yet, and that he won't be 6 until he gets a cake. They had no plans to buy him a cake, and he was telling people he isn't 6. I felt bad, so we bought a cake for him and had a little party. I am SO mad at those people right now.
