That is not true. Because my mom was telling me about when she had my oldest brother, all the ladies told her that since she was breastfeeding she would not have to 'worry about THAT'. But my mom got pregnant and had my other brother within the year.

As for your second concern, I think women were perhaps a lot more stronger, physically, than the twits that we are today My mom likes to remind me sometimes of how much housework she would do in her younger days without tire. And about how much her mom would do in the course of a single day. And they also could travel long distances without breaking a sweat.
