BismAllah, wa alhamdulil-Lah, wa alsalatu wa alsalamu aala rasool Allah, wa aalihee wa sahbeehe ajmaeen.

Im currently in a busy tail end of a school semester but I find this post to be necessary for both me and you inshAllah. There is a high level of ignorance on this board when it comes to the religion of islam, and I believe that it is mainly from the divergence of the ummah from our scholars. Now, I was always one that was against labels (e.g salafi) but in this day and age it is necessary due to the many ideologies out there to separate oneself from others. And the prophet SAW said (narrated by 16 sahabis) that his ummah will divide into 73 sects all but one in the hell fire. So brothers and sisters, I love you for the sake of Allah and I ask you to seek the truth, and inshAllah take this post as a nasiha.

Before I get into the main subject I would like to make clear the aqeedah of dawaat al salafiyah (call to follow the salaf). In this day and age many people and sects have risen with new ideologies and innovations claiming that they are part of al-islam. This call of following the salaf is a call to following the pure, innovation free form of islam. The salaf are the sahaba, the generation after them, and the ones who followed the generation after. Muhammad SAW said that the best generations are those of the sahaba, the tabieen, and the atbba atbaeein. And this is what this call to salafiyah is saying, to follow the quran and sunnah the way the sahaba and the predecessors understood it. The sahaba were the students of this religion, and learned it from caller himself Muhammad SAW for 23 years, so who better to take our religion from.

There are many misconceptions in regards to dawaat al-salafiyyah, many people associate it with terrorism but it is the scholars of salafiyyah who are against any and all kinds of terrorism. Whether it be against non muslims, or muslims. It is against any action against the ruler of the land that you live in, unlike the khwarij of this day and age. Muhammad SAW said to listen and obey to the ruler even if he beat you and stole your money. There are many sympathizers of terrorist khawarij groups such as al-qaeda, hamas, hezbalshaytan, etc… on these boards and this is a dangerous thing. These groups have strayed away from the straight path of islam, and sympathizing with them and agreeing with their actions puts you in danger on the day of judgement infront of Allah SWT.

It is also the belief of the sahaba and the salaf that Allah SWT is as he described himself in the quran without any tahreef or taweel. If Allah SWT says he is merciful, then we believe he is merciful. If Allah SWT say he loves then we believe he loves. And if Allah SWT says he has hands then we believe he has hands, but that’s were we stop, because Allah SWT states that there is nothing like him, this is the belief of the sahaba. I say this because there are many “Sufis” on this board who need to realize the ashari aqeedah, a belief system that was not apparent until generations after Muhammad SAW, as they are an innovative mixture of ahlul sunnah and al-mutazillah.

So inshAllah I post these biographies to help people understand the scholars who are upon the truth in this day and age, and who have many of their books translated in English and thousands of taped lectures. These men are scholars, they are not infallible, they make mistakes like you and I do, so we take from them and leave from them, and we don’t follow their mistakes. I state these scholars because their books and publications are widely translated and can be easily purchased. You should learn your religion from these men.
