Ioan Gruffudd played the part of Lancelot in there and reportedly, due to his Celtic heritage (Gruffudd is Welsh), the beard kept growing in red and had to be "painted" each day before filming, to match his brown hair.

No, they don't really vary from brand to brand - the neck size, arm length, waist and inseam are all measured in inches.
Inseam is the length from the guy's crotch down to his ankle. I find that to be more accurate when you're going for a suit although knowing the length in general [waist down to ankle] will do you just fine, because that's more common and widespread.
And no, please don't bother measuring his inseam, or even any of his other measurements. Just take him to a men's clothing store and the sales associate or on-site tailor will do the measurements professionally and free of charge.
