oyster is definitely an acquired taste. but once it's acquired, you'll wonder why you didn't start eating it earlier there was a time when i thought i would never eat raw oyster, but then i was at this nice brunch buffet, and maaan, oysters on the half shell with lemon and tabasco = something amazing.

i'll eat seafood in pretty much any state. i made a shrimp ceviche (raw shrimp "cooked" in lemon and lime juice) just the other day; delicious.

of course there's sushi, but i think that more people consider that normal nowadays.

i've eaten cicada, but it was mashed up into teeny tiny bits and baked in bread, so really it was just like eating bread (it was in my biology class when we had that huge cicada season).

i guess "weirdest thing" depends on your perspective, really.
