Both my younger siblings have seen Sholay at least 2 times. But they insist they haven't. Or when they admit that they have, they're like "Well, what's so great about it? We liked Munnabhai better." Or "Mein Hoon Na was better."

My older brother and I like to tease them sometimes that they missed all the classics. Even though the "classics" we know are early 90s films.
