I am opposed to the drone attacks as well as the war in Afghanistan. However, I can at least begin to understand Obama's view that they need to get the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. I actually think in his mind that is the end goal.

That is different than Bush who was on a religious crusade and using lame excuses to invade Iraq.

And the reason I call his speeches like this an "act" is because it is an act in the sense of a gesture of good will, which goes a long way.
