i dont know arabic, but i do have translations of the Quran. whats so special about this one?
It uses modern english like you would read in any modern book. Just like how we are talking here. The translation you have at home probably use words like "doeth" and "doth" and they dont word it well in terms of grammer...an example perhaps is "God loves not the the disbelievers" would be worded something like "God does not love the disbelievers" in Abdel Haleems translation.

This translators knows that to have a proper translation you cannot try to adapt arabic grammer to english and have to forego ir completely (as with any language). That way you achieve an easier to read translation and even a more accurate one.

You will read this translation easily one page to the next. Pikthal and Yusuf Ali for instance, it can get tiring for people within a few pages due to the less common grammer and use of unfamiliar words.

If you can buy it, its very cheap now. Well worth the money.

The arabic Quran is very clear and easy to read...for some reason English translators have used archaism in English for no reason. It just made barriers for people who speak English. Theres absolutely no need. So thats why I recommend all this translation.

Peace.

PS...You can read the reviews on what others said. I just wana add as a side point that following the Quran is about following the message of the verses...not the language, which is only a medium to carry the message. People who dont speak Arabic can follow the Qur'an...its about following the message no matter what language. Ofcourse accurate translations need to be available.
