Well, like Winston Churchill said - "the best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter"

But then he also pointed out that "it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government, except all those others that have been tried from time to time."

See, I don't think that's what the goal is of most successful democracies. It's to put a limit on power and keep the government accountable to those it's governing.
