The idea that the Moorish conquest of Spain was a peaceful and happy one where Christians happily succumbed Muslim rule is one of the biggest myths being perpetrated today. I don't for the love of my understand why it's repeated so much post 9/11 as an example of "islamic tolerance", when in actual fact it did not differ that much to Muslim conquests elsewhere. There wasn't any special "Alandulus" policy.
