I don't like going to Doctors alone. I'll drag my Sister with me. Seriously, I really regret not drinking milk when I was young. I'm paying for it now. I did some research on it and I'm hoping its not osteoporosis or arthritis. I don't think it is, i don't know the symptoms much, except it mentioned that knees hurt. Sigh.

Secondly, I hate it when I just cannot simply get myself down to study or finish my work when I have a paper to give in or exam to revise for.

Ugh.

Insha'Allah it's not osteoporosis. Though I do recommend you go see your doctor. I should also let you know that contrary to popular belief, MILK IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR AN ADEQUATE SOURCE OF CALCIUM that is required by humans, ESPECIALLY FOR FEMALES. In fact there is some research that shows that due to other issues with milk, the little calcium present in it doesn't end up benefiting you and actually may cause bone issue. But that's under strong debate amongst scientists. Anyway, for yet other reasons, I'm not too big of a fan of milk anymore.

So the good news is you don't need to drink milk if you hate it, just for calcium purposes. A much better alternative is to take a multivitamin on a daily basis that has all the necessary stuff you might lack due to todays imbalanced diets plus Vitamin D, K, & A all of which are important for bone loss prevention. Also, your multivitamin will contain calcium. But not as much as one requires on a daily basis because even vitamin makers assume that you're taking in some healthy stuff. And the problem is, you may one day and not the next. So for that, I suggest buying an additional calcium supplement. One of my favorites is Viactiv which comes in different chocolate flavors. Not the greatest tasting chocolate, obviously, but it's chew able and does the work for me. You're supposed to take it thrice a day. With food, so it absorbs well.

Also, dehydration can cause muscle cramps so you might want to start drinking a little more water. Definitely see your doctor, of course. Insha'Allah it's not anything serious.

And I would also recommend, after you check with your doctor of course (to make sure it's nothing serious, and it's not going to be Insha'Allah but it's better to get a check up like I said) that you start doing light weight lifting. Women are most prone to suffer from bone loss because of the lack of calcium and other reasons. The chances of this can be prevented from light to moderate weight lifting, in fact it's going to make your bones stronger. And no, you won't get big and bulky at all, don't worry. Make sure to combine it with light cardio also, because that's good for your heart and gets you warmed up for the weights. Insha'Allah Khair.
