Default Re: Eid Customs - So, what do you do/are you doing for Eid this year?

like most indians and pakistanis, we drink lots and lots of 'sheer-korma' which is warm milk, mixed with nuts, honey, and strands of vermicelli. but i do want to add something. i have alot of childhood memories of eid for some reason. i remember when i was like 7 years old and going to the huge grand mcormack place convention hall, here in chicago, for eid with my family waaaaay back in 1982! lol, and i remember a year later, it was in july, that i had spent eid in india, in the summer of 1983, and i remember my uncle (now 73 years old) taking me around to different people's homes and at each home we would sit there and drink sheer korma, while he sat and talked to them. i have no idea why i remember this, but for some reason i just do and yes i do realize that many of you were probably not even born during this time lol.
