Default Re: Eid Customs - So, what do you do/are you doing for Eid this year?

I guess I'm the only one who sleeps in on Eid, since I don't go to Eid namaaz.
Then I get up and shower and get dressed (pretty, new clothes and all that) and then I hug my parents Eid Mubarak. And we go to one of my aunts' houses or we invite the whole family over to ours. We take turns hosting the Eid party, heh. Other people (not family) come over too but they do the house-hopping thing and don't stay for long. Umm... we eat lots.

And we get Eidi from all our dads and uncles. Hang out with my cousins basically. Watch a movie at home or go out later in the evening to either catch a movie there or hang out at the mall (just the kids). And to top it off, we go to Gerrard Street (Toronto's "Little India") to roam around and eat even more. Basically, we spend all our Eidi.

Chaand Raat is fun too.
