I'm not exactly sure about that, Aryan.
I remember coming across several hadiths (of which I was able to find one) describing the Prophet's (sAaw) clothing, and the turban is usually said to be black. (Sometimes white).
In fact, if you look at the scholars of the Shia madhhab, you'll find that those who claim to be
asyaad (descendants of the Prophet) wear only black turbans.

I heard that the Prophet's (sAaw) favourite colour was green. But there's nothing to prove this, I think.
