To all above... Thanks for enjoying this thread and your contributions. If you have any remarkable women you would like to share with us, then please do so. I am interested in all role models regardless of race, creed or religion. Women who have achieved remarkable things in their lives that have helped to better the lives of others in some way as well as spur us onto greater things ourselves. It is great to have such heroes that young girls can look up to and realize that we are only limited by the way we think. I think the 2 above are prime examples of this. Women have achieved wonderful things in all walks of life, but too often the history books are written by white western men and women have been overlooked. That's why this thread is here. None of us would be here if it wasn't for a woman.
