I don't know why the connection is being made between being socially shy and having haya but whatever.
My hubster and I are the complete opposite. He is very shy and quiet while as I am very in your face and loud. He likes to sit back and listen in on the conversation, I like to be all up in the conversation. MashaAllah we balance each other out though.
With people he knows really well and is comfortable around, he opens up and becomes much more social. Though he really only completely opens up to me, which I totally love. I love knowing him how no one else does.
