totally.
i heard this maulana speak once, and i was completely in love(not with him personally, but with the way he was, or appeared to be) I had so much respect for him, and he is very well-known and respected by everyone. Then I found out what was underneath the image(secret marriages to his much younger students), and I was completely heartbroken.
at the end of the day, they are still human. Of course humans will sin..I guess it just stands out more because of the fact that they are leaders within the community, and you look up to them and its really disappointing to see those you look up to making major mistakes. Obviously growing a beard and spending 8 years in a madrassah isnt going to make you immune to shaytaan, but I so wish it did

I hate being disappointed.
