if they ask and you have knowledge of something, then sure- correct away. i won't sit here and say you should never correct someone- there are of course instances where you can and should. but it's unfortunately being done improperly all over the place. give naseeha (advice), sure, but with some adab (manners) please. when people stop coming to the masjid because of the comments/rude gestures they get regarding what they're wearing (and it happens OFTEN), something is terribly wrong.

i know we've argued over this before, but what happens when the hijabi in the tight jeans comes to the masjid? or gasp, what if she's without a headscarf altogether?
