Trust me, no one in law school speaks like me. While I was in school, I read about 15 to 25 non-school related books in addition to my basic learning curriculum.
You do get a lot of legalese, but you'll pick it up along the way.
The only advice I'd give you is not to apply to law school unless you really want it. Its not as hyped up as people make it out to be. Why do you want to go to law school if you don't mind my asking?
