The only institutional ethnic cleansing I'm aware of was against Native Americans, and there is no shortage of documentation on that subject.

If you checked out some of the articles that were posted, Chinese were attacked by vigilante groups and driven from over 200 American cities in the North and the West of the countries.
The Mexicans that were kicked out were US citizens, not illegals, that were kicked out during the Great Depression. It wasn't necessarily done violently, but just because its under the color of law doesn't stop it from being ethnic cleansing.
Also, African Americans were driven out of towns as well, usually while local law enforcement authorities either participated in or just looked away.
