But then again, if such killings were all too common, why did he get himself into this in the first place? You even see it in movies, don't you? Not that I watch many, but I vaguely remember seeing a couple of Hindi movies with the same plot: poor boy marries rich girl and father sends people to kill the boy with the blessings of the police force.

If a rich Industrialist Hindu father is unhappy with his daughter's marriage, the storyline becomes predictable after that.

I don't want to sound sarcastic or insensitive, and Allah knows I'm not, but I can't resist saying this: unlike Hindi movies, no identical, unrelated twin will surface somehow and help the girl solve the mystery of her husband's death, and then of course marry her at the end. It just goes to show that movies are not entirely fictional. Or maybe people are just copying these movies? God knows.

And really, what's wrong with Muslim girls? Is there a shortage of marriageable Muslim girls in India? Or is the grass simply greener on the other side?
