i think its quite obvious from the rest of the answer to the inquiry that its all cultural. what may be "flashy" in one culture may not be "flashy" in another, as bluey has already pointed out. you, however, have consistently insisted that a modest hijab is one without anything "flashy," period.

i don't understand why we're spending so much time focusing on the color of one's hijab as opposed to the mannerisms that are supposed to go hand in hand with wearing hijab generally. one can wear a "modest" hijab as you define it, completely black and lacking "flashiness," but at the same time flirt with every other guy one comes across.

clearly our priorities are out of wack.
