I've never broken any 'news' to my parents.. but I have had somewhat of a confrontation with them before.
There was this one time when my dad called me downstairs and I could tell by his tone that something was up. and our living room is set up in a way that when you enter, you enter into a circle of couches where family members are seated, and you become everyones centre of attention.
Anyway, they asked me about something I did which they thought was utterly stupid, and I wanted to make a freaking RUN for it. My heart was about to pound out of my chest and my knees turned to like jello or something
, and I couldnt register what the they were saying because all I could see was their angry faces and the door leading to the backyard. I think that was the first and last time I ever really annoyed them. Angry/annoyed Punjabis are not a pretty scene.
Anyway, sally, thats precisely what you will go through. Yupp!
