i never knew either..until i went to davids bridal. It's what brides usually wear under their wedding gowns, the non-=desi wedding gowns. They are worn under ballroom gowns as well. They come in different sizes..depending on how much poof u require/need
i love looking at it is b/c it's so starnge...and it's mine..i'm very fascinated. exuse me...i have it hanged up in my closet.
