Medical "Doctors" are given the title "Doctor", as an
honorary title. i.e. They are "fake" Doctors.
A PhD (
Doctor of Philosophy) is
much more difficult to obtain than a MD. You have to prove yourself by actually being
published after doing
new research for 2-4 years.
Now... try explaining this to all the fobby aunties out there. You'll be murdered for insulting their "Doctor" bheta or bheti.
