What does visible light have to do with conjugation? Light is energy. The wavelength of the light determines the spectra you see. The sun emits visible light, but the sun is not made of conjugated pi systems. If you're making the argument that carrots are yellow/orange becuase beta-carotine is yellow-orange, know that the chemical itself is not "colored" rather it absorbs some spectra of light, and what is left is what you see. Conjugated systems themselves don't emit energy/light.
you better quit while you're ahead.
