Default Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone

Salaam
thanks for the concerns.
I read in the news that a certain british tour agency has donated a cruiser ship to a charity group which was working with another charity group in Malaysia.
Now the Mercy malaysia's gonna convert that ship into a 'floating hospital' and send it to the Ayerwaddy region. they are also calling for Burmese doctors and nurses in malaysia to volunteer and go there.
this way..they dont have the issue of 'foreign aid workers' anymore. plus there are tonnes of burmese professionals living abroad.
iA..i think my dad's gonna volunteer.

on the other hand..the burmese goverment is getting more and more insane by the day. They made roadblocks at roads leading to the disaster area to prevent illegal foreign aid workers from getting there...as if they are some kinda of criminals.
