What you should have done is gone to her wedding dressed up like a 19th century feudal landlord from the Punjab, kicked the doors open with your elf-shoes, raised your rifle in the air while stomping your feet on the ground and shouting, in a terrifyingly raspy voice 'YEH SHAADI NAHI HO SAAKTA!" and then proceed to stroke your handlebar mustache.
