Just an update from the first post:

I sent an email to the sleazebag and told him that he is way too liberal for me and he should find someone just as liberal. He said he was okay with that. A month later he called me and acted like I was ignoring him for no reason. But I feel much better cutting off someone who is willing to taint my Deen. Thanks for all the advice!
