btw, that statement is unbelievably stupid and elitist. A few days ago i was talking to a graduating cardiothoracic surgery fellow who is on his way to an extremely prestigious American university hospital for an advanced CT fellowship. It turns out the guy is a St George grad.
If you want to be a doctor and you cant get into any medical schools except those in the caribbean, then go to the caribbean. It will be harder, but who cares. Becoming a doctor isnt easy for anyone

I am speechless at his progress and applaud him for his commitment and patience. mA. Recently, a friend's brother resorted to St. George after he didn't hear anything back from med schools where he applied to. (Shortly after, he realized there were calculation error in his overall gpa. but he was kneen not to wait one whole year. so he's on his way to Carribean now.)
Al though, He said, He'll be back in NY to complete his last two years of med school. I thought it has to be a collaborative program btwn the two universities?
As for moi, If I ever do consider medical school, my options are limited to Canadian Schools and leaving for States would be crossing over 'the red line' with my parents. lol. whatever is for the best. inshaAllah khair.
