Shahnawaz: The lesson for Muslims is not to deny some parts of the book, because eventually you will have to deny all of it. Or atleast be called a hypocrit. Let all the "Radical Middle Way" take heed of Shadha's very astute findings.
Indeed, in the people of the book are lessons for Muslims. Let us not fall into the same errors. Al-Quran: KalamUlla
Unfortunately, I have to agree with numbnuts about the reasoning for posting up this video.
Know the book you declare to be following. When 9/11 first happened, everyone thought they were the original readers of the Qur'an and consequently our own verses were being 'turned' against us. Think back to that verse, paraphrasing, 'Kill them wherever you find them". How many times has that verse alone been raped?
Then, a second part as to why I posted this video up- if you reject certain parts of the Qur'an, be prepared to eventually be in the position of rejecting all of it. Unlike, Hadith, you can't really pick and choose what you want to follow out of the Qur'an.
Watching the Dr. in the video stumble over his answers and then realizing he has no answers so he just began walking away...I didn't know whether to laugh or be sadden.
Do we want that to be OUR future?
I guess it all goes back to...Iqra. Read. Read in the name of your Lord...He blessed you with the ability, start utilizing it, for your protection and the protection of the 'Din.
